The 67 car strong TJS Self Drive Alan Healy Memorial Cadwell Park Stages Rally 2020 seeded entry list was published yesterday. Jeffrey Panton and Michael Fennell have been seeded 8th with familiar names. Panton has been gearing up as the days draw closer to the event having recently had his loyal fans select the car's livery for the February 2nd event. It goes without saying that Panton will be finding his grove, but under the trusted guidance of long time friend and veteran co-driver Michael Fennell, he is sure to show us the potential of this car.
Topping the list is Frank Bird and Jack Morton in their Focus 07 WRC which was previously campaigned by Paul Bird. Frank has indeed shown that he certainly has his dad's pace and is already on fresh winnings after taking overall honors at the Brands Hatch Winter Stages (January 18th, 2020).
Fourth in the running is Roger Duckworth and Mark Broomfield in their trusty Subaru Impreza WRC S6 which recently finished second overall at SOL Rally Barbados 2019. Duckworth is indeed no slouch and is sure to be pushing for a top podium position.
Seeded Fifth is Robert Swann and Steve Mcnulty in a Ford Fiesta R5 similar to that of Panton's. The pair are tackling the circuit rally after winning the Mini Tempest Rushmoor Stages (December 29th 2019) in the South of England in a Ford Fiesta WRC. Why the change of vehicle? we are skeptical ourselves, but could it be another scenario of try before you buy? Either way, this should definitely add some spice to the event.
Though being viewed as merely a testing event for Panton, fans throughout the Caribbean will be keeping a keen eye on this event as it will give some insight on what is to come later this year.
